Keep the two payment stages separate

1. Before purchase: confirm the selected item price, seller-to-warehouse delivery and any purchasing service charge shown for that source.
2. At the warehouse: review optional photos, inspection, storage and packaging charges before selecting them.
3. Before international shipment: compare the live route quote for your destination and packed parcel. Check chargeable weight, included services and exclusions.
4. Before payment: keep the final itemised order and parcel totals. Record which destination charges are included, excluded or still uncertain; do not count the same charge twice.

Questions to ask before choosing a route

1. Is the quote using actual weight, volumetric weight or another route-specific rule?
2. Are the packed dimensions confirmed, and could a packaging change alter the amount?
3. Which surcharges, insurance or handling costs are included?
4. What restrictions apply to the items, and what happens if the final charge differs from the estimate?
